TESDA

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) was established through the enactment of Republic Act No. 7796 otherwise known as the "Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994", which was signed into law by President Fidel V. Ramos on August 25, 1994. This Act aims to encourage the full participation of and mobilize the industry, labor, local government units and technical-vocational institutions in the skills development of the country's human resources.

QNAS Conducts Research on Traditional Rice Using Organic Farming Practices

Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS),  one of TESDA Administered Schools is currently conducting a research on "Adaptability Trial of Traditional Rice Varieties Using Organic Farming Practices under Quezon Province Conditions."  The research is in support of the Department of Agriculture's (DA)  thrust to strengthen rice self- sufficiency and food security.

TESDA-PTC Rosario Wins 1st National Campus Fire Brigade Competition

Congratulations to TESDA PTC-Rosario!

Beating the participating teams from Ateneo de Manila and Manila Central University, TESDA PTC Rosario was hailed as the champion in the 1st National Campus Fire Brigade Competition las March 2, 2013 at Mehan Garden, Manila.  The competition was organized  by the Safety Organization of the Philippines and the Bureau of Fire Protection in celebration of the Fire Prevention Month.  Entitled  "7 in 1" the competition aims to encourage different institutions to participate and join the endeavor against the consequences of fire.

TESDA Calabarzon takes on the ISO 9001:2008 Challenge

TESDA Calabarzon gears up for the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation.  Its quality journey is in full swing having started preparations since March last year.  Towing the line of  "providing quality service at all times,"  the ISO challenge and excitement  has gone down to the level of its provincial offices.  "ISO is the magic word," says the Regional Operations Chief Ava Heidi dela Torre.   "You say it and everybody gets on their feet, with excitement."
