PNOY Visits Laguna on Labor Day

Speaking before hundreds of employees, officials and scholars of Integrated Microelectronics Inc (IMI),  Alliance Mansols Inc (AMI) and Testech Inc ,  Pres. Aquino commended the partnership  betwen TESDA and  the Semiconductors and Electronics Industries in the Phils (SEIPI)  in their efforts to train scholars under the Training for Work Scholarship Program.  This program recorded a 98% employment rate among its graduates who are deployed in the various member companies of SEIPI.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) was established through the enactment of Republic Act No. 7796 otherwise known as the "Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994", which was signed into law by President Fidel V. Ramos on August 25, 1994. This Act aims to encourage the full participation of and mobilize the industry, labor, local government units and technical-vocational institutions in the skills development of the country's human resources.

Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS),  one of TESDA Administered Schools is currently conducting a research on "Adaptability Trial of Traditional Rice Varieties Using Organic Farming Practices under Quezon Province Conditions."  The research is in support of the Department of Agriculture's (DA)  thrust to strengthen rice self- sufficiency and food security. 

Congratulations to TESDA PTC-Rosario!

Beating the participating teams from Ateneo de Manila and Manila Central University, TESDA PTC Rosario was hailed as the champion in the 1st National Campus Fire Brigade Competition las March 2, 2013 at Mehan Garden, Manila.  The competition was organized  by the Safety Organization of the Philippines and the Bureau of Fire Protection in celebration of the Fire Prevention Month.  Entitled  "7 in 1" the competition aims to encourage different institutions to participate and join the endeavor against the consequences of fire.
