TESDA-LLDA PTC Nagsagawa ng Community-Based Training sa Tofu Making para sa Senior Citizens sa Bay, Laguna

Eighteen (18) senior citizens from Bay participated in and completed the community-based training on Tofu Making conducted on December 22, 2025. TESDA-LLDA Provincial Training Center’s community-based training team facilitated the one-day activity at Wellness Center Municipality of Bay, Laguna.

To formally open the activity, Center Administrator Catherine B. Torres introduced the Provincial Training Center and highlighted its various programs and services, emphasizing TESDA’s commitment to skills development.

The workshop proper was led by Community-Based Esau G. Gabriel, who discussed the safety protocols, materials, and tools needed in tofu making. They also demonstrated the steps in making and packaging the products together with all the participants. In addition, a segment on product costing was included to provide participants with practical insights on how to potentially turn their new skills into sustainable livelihood opportunities.

All participants were awarded a Certificate of Completion. The finished products were given to them. With the success of the activity, it is expected that TESDA-LLDA PTC will continue to provide livelihood community-based trainings for other stakeholders, including private companies, to uplift the marginalized as part of “Sa TESDA, Kayang Kaya!”
