TESDA IV-A's (CALABARZON) Courtesy Visit to the Governor of Cavite Province
TESDA Region IV-A Regional Director Archie A. Grande, CESO III, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Athena Tolentino, Governor of the Province of Cavite, on January 21, 2025, at Brgy. Cabuco, City of Trece Martires, Cavite.
During the visit, Governor Tolentino expressed her keen interest in TESDA's programs, particularly those related to agriculture, food processing, and information technology. She highlighted the need for skills training in the dairy industry, given the presence of the Carabao dairy industry in the province. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of food processing training for coastal towns and barangays to boost local livelihood opportunities.
The governor also underscored the potential of information technology (IT) programs to enhance the skills of government employees and empower her constituents with digital competencies. Recognizing the critical role of TESDA in workforce development, Governor Tolentino assured the agency of the provincial government's full support and assistance. In line with this, the TESDA Regional Office expressed its hope that the provincial government could provide land for the permanent location of TESDA Cavite provincial office to further enhance service delivery.
