TESDA Quezon Conducts Online Discussion for DepEd SDOs on SHS Assessment and Certification

In a significant step to elevate the quality of Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) training and improve the employability of senior high school graduates, the TESDA Quezon Provincial Office conducted an online discussion for DepEd School Division Offices of Quezon, Tayabas City, and Lucena City on SHS TVL-Track Assessment for Certification and TM I Training and Assessment of SHS Teachers on October 16, 2024, via Zoom Plat From.

The online meeting engaged the participants in a fruitful discussion on TESDA Circular No. 045 s. 2024 on the Implementing Guidelines on Senior High School (SHS) Assessment and Certification Support Program issued 17 July 2024 and TESDA Circular No. 046 s. 2024 on the Implementing Guidelines on the Support to Expand the Number of Accredited Assessors issued on 17 July 2024.

In the meeting, Provincial Director Gerardo R. Marasigan emphasized the importance of collaboration between TESDA and the Department of Education (DepEd) to create a cohesive approach to technical-vocational education. Moreover, to implement free assessment and certification for SHS graduates and TM I training for SHS teachers to significantly boost the employability of our graduates, equipping them with the competencies needed in today’s job market.

This initiative is part of TESDA's broader commitment to enhancing the quality of vocational education in the Philippines, responding to the growing demand for skilled workers in various sectors through empowering educators and refining training programs. Moreover, TESDA aims to create a more competent workforce that can contribute effectively to the local and national economy.

As the program progresses, stakeholders look forward to the positive impact of these efforts on the future careers of senior high school graduates across Quezon Province.
