TESDA Calabarzon succesfully conducts its 2012 Regional Skills Competition

TESDA CALABARZON was honored by Director  General Joel J. Villanueva when he graced the opening ceremony of the three-day 2012 Calabarzon Regional Skills Competition held at Sisters of Mary, Silang Cavite on   February 15-17, 2012.  Hon. Erineo “Ayong” S. Maliksi and Hon. Roy M. Loyola, Congresspersons of 3rd and 5th Districts of Cavite respectively joined the Secretary in welcoming the delegations from different schools from the five provinces.

After his speech, the Secretary awarded plaques of appreciation to both the Sisters of Mary (Girlstown and Boystown) for hosting the event.  The highlight of the program was the lighting of the torch led by the DG which was followed by the symbolic opening of the competition that marked the start of the competitions.

The competition was filled with    excitement and anticipation as it   approaches the third and last day.  Every delegation was on its toes as the awarding draws near.  Finally, on the closing ceremony, led by RD Cecile B. Gutierrez, everyone was happy with the overall results.  Cavite was hailed champion with 7 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze, followed by Quezon with 3 gold and 1 silver and Batangas with 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
