Philippine National Skills Competition
The Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC) kicked off June 20, 2016 at the TESDA grounds wherein tech-voch trainees and graduates from around the nation are more than ready to unravel their skills and showcase their expertise in various trade areas following weeks of rigid training in the Gold Camp 2. From 64 teams, 43 surviving teams still remain to compete in 12 competition areas, namely: welding; Graphic Design Technology; Mechatronics; Web Design; Industrial Automation; IT Network Cabling; Mechanical CAD; Electronics; ITS Solution for Business; Refrigeration and Air-conditioning; IT Network System Administration; and, Electrical Installations. Winners of the PNSC will represent the country in the ASEAN Skills Competition (ASC) at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia in October this year. Leading the symbolic cutting of Olympic chain that formally marked the opening of the competition were DOLE Secretary, Rosalinda M. Baldoz, TESDA Secretary Irene M. Isaac, Usec. Nicon F. Fameronag of DOLE-LCO and Zaida Ignacio, Head of Taguig City Tourism Office.
