PTC San Antonio Reinforces TVET Commitment in Quezon's Localized Kilos-Unlad Training

TESDA Provincial Training Center (PTC) San Antonio actively participated in the Quezon Provincial Localized Kilos-Unlad Training, spearheaded by the provincial government through the 4Ps Provincial Advisory Council.

PTC San Antonio Officer-in-Charge Ms. Niña Rochelle V. Ariano joined the training on March 20, 2025, where stakeholders developed a provincial action plan aimed at improving the well-being of 4Ps beneficiaries. Key initiatives include scholarships, job fairs, TVET programs, community learning centers, and electrification projects.

BPTI Advocates Mental Health and Inclusion Through Expert-Led Seminar

In celebration of 2025 National Women’s Month, Bondoc Peninsula Technological Institute (BPTI) hosted a seminar titled “Breaking Barriers: Effective Communication Strategies for Mental Health Support” on March 20, 2025, at the BPTI Social Hall.

Ms. Abegail Manalo, Nurse II from the Department of Health, led the session, emphasizing empathetic communication and the importance of breaking the stigma around mental health.

Final Leg of Competency Assessors' Calibration Held at RTC CALABARZON

The final session of the four-day Calibration of Accredited Competency Assessors in Batangas took place at TESDA Regional Training Center (RTC) CALABARZON, Batangas City, with 15 assessors from the Human Health/Health Care and Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery sectors.

Despite being the smallest batch, participants were divided into three groups for a focused review of assessment procedures, responsibilities, and core work values. Discussions also addressed sector-specific concerns through individual agreements.

The Provincial Federation of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PYAP) held its 1st Quarterly Meeting on March 12, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol Compound, Lucena City, Quezon. A key agenda was the presentation of TESDA programs and services available to out-of-school youth (OSY), facilitated by Ms. Maria Lourdes Y. Aurin, Registrar III of Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS).

Ms. Aurin introduced TESDA-registered programs, outlining entry requirements and scholarship opportunities, including the benefits of availing specific training programs.

In celebration of Women’s Month and as part of its commitment to public health and safety, the TESDA IV-A Regional Office and Provincial Training Center (PTC) Lipa, in collaboration with Red Cross Lipa, conducted a comprehensive First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) training for employees.

The initiative aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills, enabling them to respond effectively to emergencies. Through hands-on exercises and expert guidance, trainees learned vital techniques such as CPR, wound care, and emergency response procedures.
