Following his participation in the 57th Commencement Exercises of Batangas State University (BatStateU) – The National Engineering University (The NEU), TESDA Director General, Secretary Jose Francisco "Kiko" B. Benitez, visited the TESDA Batangas Provincial Office and Regional Training Center (RTC) CALABARZON on 03 April 2025.

He was warmly received by TESDA Region IV-A Regional Director Archie A. Grande, CESO III and TESDA Batangas Provincial Director Dorie U. Gutierrez, marking his first official visit to Batangas.

During the visit, Secretary Benitez toured the training facilities and engaged with TESDA Batangas personnel. The interaction provided an opportunity for the staff to personally meet the head of the agency, as PD Gutierrez introduced the composition and functions of the provincial operating units.

Secretary Benitez also held a brief dialogue with the team, where he inquired about the current program offerings and the support required to enhance the center’s operations. He shared recommendations on resource mobilization and strategies to further strengthen TESDA’s service delivery.

He emphasized the importance of expanding TESDA’s reach in Batangas and the greater CALABARZON region, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to delivering quality and accessible technical education and skills training aligned with the evolving needs of the labor market.

The visit served as a source of inspiration for the TESDA Batangas team, further motivating them to uphold the agency’s mission of equipping Filipinos with industry-relevant competencies and improving employment outcomes across communities.
