QNAS Empowers PWDs and OSYs with Food Processing Skills in Macalelon
In celebration of Women’s Month, a food processing training was held for 35 PWDs (Persons with Disabilities) and Out-of-School Youths (OSYs) in Macalelon, Quezon. The training focused on chips making, camote chips, and calamansi juice concentrate production, aimed at enhancing participants' skills and creating economic opportunities.
The event began with Mrs. Zenaida L. Afable, who emphasized the sustainability and market potential of these products. Mrs. Rowena P. Marasigan highlighted the role of the Community Outreach Center, while Ms. Sunshine T. Rios-Jonsay, OIC-MSWDO, expressed the local government's support for the beneficiaries.
The training featured hands-on demonstrations, equipping participants with practical skills for future income-generating opportunities, promoting inclusivity and community development.
